Legal, privacy & system use notice
1. System use notice
Warning — restricted system. You are accessing a criminal justice information system provided for authorized official use only. This system and the information in it, including Criminal Justice Information (CJI), are protected by federal and state law and by the FBI CJIS Security Policy.
All activity on this system is monitored, recorded, and subject to audit. There is no expectation of privacy. By signing in, you acknowledge this notice and consent to monitoring, recording, and audit.
Unauthorized access and tampering
Access is permitted only to users authorized by their agency, for official purposes, and only to the information their role allows. It is prohibited to:
- access the system, or any record in it, without authorization or beyond the access granted;
- use credentials, authenticator codes, or sessions belonging to someone else, or share your own;
- alter, delete, damage, or disrupt the system, its sensors, its data, its audit trail, or its security controls;
- probe, scan, or test the system's security without the written authorization of Aerqor and the agency;
- disclose information from the system to anyone not authorized to receive it, or use it for a personal or non-official purpose.
Violations may result in criminal prosecution, including under the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and the Alabama Digital Crime Act (Ala. Code § 13A-8-110 et seq.), as well as civil liability, loss of access, and administrative or disciplinary action by the user's agency. Suspected misuse is reported to the agency and, where appropriate, to law enforcement.
2. Privacy & monitoring notice
All use of Aerqor Vision is strictly regulated and recorded for audit. The system records who signed in and when, from what address, each alert acknowledged, each camera cued, each aircraft whitelisted, each identification looked up, and every change to accounts and permissions. Audit records are available to the agency's administrators and auditors.
Information in the system belongs to the agency that operates the sensors. Aerqor handles it only under the agency's service agreement, its retention schedule, the CJIS Security Policy, and applicable law. Aerqor does not sell, rent, or trade agency information or user information.
Remote ID broadcasts received by the system are public by federal regulation (14 CFR Part 89). Operator locations derived from them are retained with the track and are subject to the agency's retention schedule.
3. Detection scope
This is a detection, location and identification system only. It passively receives Remote ID broadcasts, ADS-B transponder messages, and the radio-frequency energy of unmanned-aircraft control and video links, and it may receive radar and acoustic data from agency-owned sensors. It does not transmit on any aircraft frequency, does not jam, spoof, take control of, or disable any aircraft, and does not demodulate or record the content of any communication. Camera cues point agency-owned cameras at a detected aircraft for visual confirmation.
Use by a state, local, tribal or territorial agency is subject to 6 U.S.C. § 124n and the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security rules under it, including training, operations-plan and reporting requirements. The agency is responsible for its own compliance. Identifications are aids to a trained user's judgment, not findings of fact, and must be confirmed before any action is taken.
